A thin abrasive rim heats up faster and degrades quicker at the bond interface. The thick abrasive diamond wheel rim provides thermal mass that absorbs and dissipates grinding heat more effectively, maintaining bond integrity deeper into the wear life. Combined with the 250mm diameter’s longer contact arc (distributing grinding force across more diamond particles per rotation), the 20mm rim delivers not just longer life but more consistent cut quality from the first sharpening to the last.
